Shakeel Avadhany

Music is a good part of why I get out of bed in the morning. I have been very fortunate to study the tabla under two legendary masters: Pandit Swapan Choudhuri and Ustad Tari Khan. My training dates back to my early years, and I have since performed throughout the San Francisco Bay Area while more recently in Boston. I have also spent a number of years playing the drumset and mainly focus on jazz, latin jazz, funk, classic rock, and military snare solos.

As far as dabbling takes me, I have a penchant for trying my hand on a variety of instruments but can only claim basic proficiency on harmonica and piano.
